I visited the Meteora monastries and while I tend to be sceptical with those touristic places this place was absolutely magic and I guess it was very helpful to be there off season.
It was still warm, I went on a nice hike and visited 2 monasteries.
I visited Elia Beach. Its a around 2km long place at the coast where a lot of campers are parked and they even created a small community. Some people stayed there for months.
I am usually not a fan of those places as I prefer to stand alone and also I do not like some of the behavior visible at those places.
I visited this famous landmark (or seamark?)
The ship was anchored in the harbor of Gythio when the captain was brought into hospital...after a while the ship was anchored outside Gythio and in a storm in December 1981 the ship broke free and stranded on its todays position where it is known as Dimitrios shipwreck.
I visited Monemvasia and it was one of the prettiest villages I saw in Greece. Again it was very good to visit off season to what I hear from visit in season.
The last beach I stayed in was a bit south of Thessaloniki and it was beautiful. All alone for 2 days...but as everywhere in Greece there was a lot of trash and I collected 6 bags of it.
Bye, Bye Greece! It was a pleasure and I will be back.
